Accessibility statement

How this website is built for people using assistive technology, what is not yet done, and how to tell us when something does not work. Last updated October 31, 2026.

Our commitment, stated plainly

Dendera Studios wants anyone to be able to read this site, watch the work and start a project, regardless of how they browse. We build against WCAG 2.2 Level AA as the technical target and fix problems when they are reported.

We are not claiming conformance with WCAG 2.2 AA. This site has not been through an independent accessibility audit, and until it has, a conformance claim would be a guess rather than a statement of fact.

What is in place

  • A single H1 per page and headings in a logical order
  • Semantic landmarks for header, navigation, main and footer content
  • A skip-to-content link as the first keyboard stop
  • Visible keyboard focus outlines on links, buttons and form fields
  • The inquiry dialog and FAQ rows operable by keyboard, with Escape closing the dialog
  • Every form field has a visible label and errors are announced next to the field
  • Decorative images carry empty alt text; informative images are described
  • Animation honours the operating system's reduce-motion setting
  • Body text and interface text kept at readable contrast on the dark canvas
  • Layout reflows to narrow screens and supports zoom to 200% without losing content
  • Background films carry descriptive labels and are always muted

Known limitations

These are the gaps we know about today. Naming them is more useful than implying they do not exist.

  • Film captions. The studio’s client films are shown as muted, looping previews across the site. Films with spoken interviews do not yet carry captions everywhere they appear, and caption files are still being produced for the archive.
  • Motion. The site is built around cinematic movement. Reduce-motion turns off the scroll and marquee animation, but some background clips still play when that setting is on.
  • Instagram feed. Post images and captions come from Instagram, so their text and alternatives depend on how the studio captioned the original post.
  • Third-party galleries. Some project galleries are hosted on external platforms that we do not control and have not reviewed for accessibility.

Telling us about a problem

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible to use, email info@denderastudios.com or call 347-956-6093. It helps if you include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using.

We will confirm we received it, tell you what we found, and give you a realistic fix or a timeline for one. If a page is blocking you from starting a project, say so in the message and we will take the details by phone instead.

Standards and testing

The technical target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Screen reader use is supported with current versions of VoiceOver, NVDA and JAWS, and the site is built and checked in current Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. If you need a document in a different format, ask and we will provide it in an accessible form.
